Yes — every plan comes with a free trial and no credit card is required to start. Light includes 7 days, Essentials includes 14 days, and Premium includes 30 days. You’ll only be charged after the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime before that at no cost.
Credits power AI-capable apps in Setapp — things like AI writing tools, image generators, and intelligent assistants. Each plan comes with a monthly credits allowance (10,000 for Light, 20,000 for Essentials, 50,000 for Premium). Credits refresh every billing cycle and don’t roll over.
The annual plan is billed once a year and works out to 2 months free compared to paying month-to-month. You get the exact same apps and features — just a better price for committing upfront. You can switch between billing cycles at any time.
Membership Light covers Mac only. Essentials and Premium cover both Mac and iOS (iPhone and iPad). Premium additionally supports up to 4 seats, so you can share across multiple people or devices.
Yes. There are no long-term commitments. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period.
Apps installed through Setapp require an active subscription to run. If you cancel, the apps will stop working at the end of your billing period — but your documents and files created with those apps remain yours and are unaffected.
